I read the March 2012 issue of rooi rose over the weekend. I’m a sucker for Editor and Reader Letters, so I read it all. This letter below from “Ouma van Rheebok” really blew me away. If you’re Afrikaans, or can read it, do yourself a favour and read the whole letter about what trouble her 67 year old husband went through in preperation for a visit from their grandchildren. Such a sweet and funny story!
I can see as being a short movie, or short story. Someone with the vision and power just needs to pick this up and do something amazing with it…
