Jade Fairbrother is the first “Playmate of the Year” that comes out of South Africa. She was announced as the ‘winner’ (?) last week at a larny do, and I was of course not invited… The March 2012 issue also celebrates the 1 year anniversary of Playboy South Africa.
Shame, they really have gone through a lot in the past year; from the editor that quit after only a few issues, to the ‘skin lightening issue’ that I might have been the first to cover (see my article on this post, here. This is still the most viewed blog post)
The latest ABC’s for 2011 Quarter 4 has been announced. Here are a few interesting facts relating to this publication:

- I’m a bit disappointed in these results, I honestly thought it would perform better. I also thought that most of their circulation would be carried by Subscriptions (because people are too afraid of buying it in-store), but they only have 209 recorded subscribers.
- Their Single Copy Sales are at 7 058. Digital Editions at 183.
- The rest of their sales are from “Sales below 50% cover price” and 3 177 copies from “Free Circulation”.
